How many games to plan

Three or four games fill a two-to-three-hour shower without crowding out food and gifts. Plan one game guests can start the moment they arrive, one or two seated games after food, and one that runs during the gift opening.

If you only have time for one, make it a how well do you know the bride quiz. It's about her, everyone can play, and the answers make good stories.

A running order that works

While guests arrive: hand out advice and prediction cards or a date night idea card. Nobody needs to know anyone yet, and the cards become a keepsake.

After food: a quiz about the bride, then the shoe game if her partner is there. Save the shoe game for when the partner arrives; it doesn't work with one person.

During gifts: gift bingo or will the bride say… bingo keeps the room watching through a long gift opening.

To finish: a price guess round with items from the couple's registry, then the prizes.

Paper or phones

Every game here prints free in US Letter or A4. Paper works well for small, quiet showers. For a bigger room, or a shower where half the guests are on a video call, the live version does the scoring for you: questions on the TV, guests answer on their phones, and the reveal shows who got it right. See how playing on the TV works.

Questions people ask

How many games should you play at a bridal shower?
Three or four for a two-to-three-hour shower. Each takes ten to twenty minutes, which leaves time for food, gifts and talking.
What is the most popular bridal shower game?
How well do you know the bride, followed by the shoe game and gift bingo. All three are about the couple, which is why they last.
Do bridal shower games need prizes?
Small ones help: a candle, a bottle of wine, a nice notebook. Plan one prize per game and one for the overall winner.
