Baby shower
Wishes for baby
Every guest writes a wish for the baby. It needs no explaining, works for guests of every age, and leaves the parents with something to read on a 3am feed. Put the cards by the door, or show the QR code on the TV and collect the wishes on phones.
Play it live
Questions on the TV, guests answer from their phones, the reveal and the scores are automatic. Free for up to 15 guests.

How to play
- 1Hand every guest a card, or let them write on their phone.
- 2Read the prompt aloud.
- 3Guests write a prediction or a piece of advice, or bet some of their 100 chips on an outcome.
- 4When a bet is decided (who cried first, the baby's hair colour), the host settles it. A right bet wins its chips back doubled.
- 5Share the best advice out loud and keep every card for the guest of honor.
Running it for your group
- A small group
- Read every card aloud at the end. With a small group, there's time.
- A big room
- Put the cards or the QR code out as guests arrive, then read out the five best. Open the bets early so they can settle during the party.
- Guests on a video call
- Remote guests write and bet on their phones, and their answers go on the wall with everyone else's.
The prompts

2.I hope you inherit…
3.I hope you never lose…

5.The best advice I can give you

Questions people ask
- What do you write on a wishes for baby card?
- Anything you hope for the baby: a place to see, a lesson to learn, a trait to inherit. Short is fine. Funny is fine too.
- How do you collect the wishes?
- On paper, in a box or a jar. On phones, they go up on the big screen as they come in and into a keepsake page you can print.
- Can we play this live instead of on paper?
- Yes. Put the questions on a TV or laptop, guests join from their phones with a QR code, and the answers are revealed on the big screen with scores kept for you. It's free for up to 15 guests.
